We build confidence, develop motor skills, enhance lives

Young Athletes is an innovative play-based programme designed for children (aged 2-8) with intellectual disabilities.

Started in 2007, its purpose is to improve hand-eye co-ordination and develop motor skills as early as possible. The Young Athletes programme is sponsored by the Kim Samuel Foundation.

Focused on fun

Children are more open to learning new things if the activities performed are fun and children with learning disabilities are no different. Young Athletes teaches through play which helps us unleash a child’s potential. Did you know? Active children are more likely to learn quicker and less likely to develop obesity later in life.

Early experiences make a difference

Our athletes’ parents love the Young Athletes programme, because it positively impacts on their children’s lives. It helps improve their social skills and more importantly, it’s helped these children to play and talk with other children more easily.
